Our Wakefiled Park project (now known as Tetra House), was a $23 million high-rise building constructed by Kalmar Construction Ltd. Their performance on the project was such that they completed the project four months ahead of time and to a very high standard of workmanship.

We found the Kalmar team to be very co-operative and pro-active in bringing the project in ahead of programme and on budget. Whilst the project was let on a traditional basis, their involvement in managing the design process proved invaluable.

As a result, our own involvement in the design and construction management was able to be kept to a minimum and, at all times, we felt that we were 'in good hands' with Kalmar being an integral part of the team.

All during the project Kalmar performed admirably and, indeed, we agreed the final account without any issues and at the same time as Practical Completion was achieved.

The project was professionally and efficiently built by the Kalmar team and not a single dispute was encountered.

As a result of Kalmar's performance on Tetra House we have since negotiated two further projects with them. The first being the $24 million St Martin's Lane high-rise building, which is currently tracking well ahead of programme and will be completed in April 2009. We let this project to Kalmar on a Design and Build basis and Kalmar have performed outstandingly well in all respects, with no disputes whatsoever between themselves, their sub-contractors, suppliers or ourselves.

The second project is the Celestion project which is a $23 million high-rise building which we have also let to Kalmar on a full Design and Build basis. This project is due to commence within the next 3 weeks and we have every reason to believe that the Kalmar team will perform to their usual high standards in terms of time, quality, teamwork, and budget.

In summary, we would have no reservation whatsoever in recommending and, indeed, endorse Kalmar as being an extremely valuable member of the overall design management and project team.
