Starship Children’s Hospital was the first hospital in New Zealand dedicated exclusively to children’s health. With patient numbers rising in excess of 100,000 annually, the car park demanded an expansion for staff parking. Kalmar managed the design and construction from start to finish, with extensive earthworks to accommodate a major sewer line running underground. Since the existing car park remained open during construction, our team took precautions to ensure minimal disruption on site.
