Amplifon Office Fitout

Completed October 2011

K2 have successfully created the new head office for Amplifon, Smales Farm, the parent company of Bay Audiology and National Hearing. The build was under time pressure and handing over on time was paramount to the continued operation of Amplifon’s business. Due to the excellent performance of our team, we have secured new work on additional levels within the Telstra Clear Building.

The build consisted of a complete re-wire for data, security and electrical services; the introduction of 300 metres of new walls incorporating aluminium suite, glass partitions and Hufcor demountable partitions; re-routing existing ducting and adding extensive amounts of new HVAC duct work to comply with the new layout and the introduction of tea points.

The Amplifon project is a merger of two competing hearing care companies. The project was highly confidential as none of the staff were initially aware of the merger. The project had further constraints of a very short programme and extremely tight budget. The client also wanted a fit out that reflected their brand and the brief was "maximum impact for minimum cost".

K2 Interiors won the project and David Karim led the construction. His dedication to the project meant that the delivery was solution based. The atmosphere on site was that of a team rather than individual competing parties. This resulted in the project being delivered on time and under budget with the minimum of stress for all concerned. The remedials for this project are low which is testament to the quality of construction. K2 and David have delivered a fantastic product that the client is thrilled with.
